I have been an artist nearly all my life, mainly a painter, but bout 15 years ago, while going through a very difficult time I started sculpting with polymer clay and learning about assemblage art. That is how my Spirit Dolls came to be. Doll making has become great part of my art, I can stop painting for weeks at a time but can't imagine a week without making a doll or two. They are an essential spiritual practice, like any other form of meditation, this process transports me away to another dimension where creativity takes over and I forget about time. This is an emotional/healing journey for me, and I hope to continue discovering other ways to add to my dolls. I want express my gratitude to all those wonderful people (you know who you are) who have sent me beads, fabric, yarn and many other fun materials helping me along the way with instructions to make my work more colorful and rich.
